Our service processes are designed so that if the service requested doesn’t require access to the data stored on a device, our staff and contractors do not access that data. An example would be as follows: MILE Technologies employees or representatives of MILE Technologies are trained to never access data on a customer’s device provided to MILE Technologies for service except in limited circumstances, and only to the extent necessary to perform the service, such when you ask us to recover your data. Devices that could have your information on them and are requested for MILE Technologies to recycle data housed devices are protected until they are sent to the appropriate location for data wipe or other required disposition.
In addition to our efforts to protect your data, it is up to the client to ensure the data is backed up as MILE Technologies is not responsible for data loss. For example, it’s a good idea to back up your data and important files, if possible, prior to bringing your device in for service. Safeguarding your information by backing up or removing sensitive data from your device will give your company peace of mind that your information is safe and secure.
MILE Technologies employees or representatives do not collect client data or use client data for any malicious purposes. MILE Technologies employees or representatives do not share client data with any third party and is prohibited.
